The Amiga Mechanical Keyboard is designed to work seamlessly across the Amiga range.
The base keyboard fits natively inside any Amiga 1200 computer and is also compatible with Amiga 500 systems through the addition of the optional A500 daughter board.
– A compact A600 version preproduction unit is in development. Availability to Amiga enthusiasts is to be based on an upcoming poll.
The keyboard fits both original and new A500/A1200 cases and can be installed in external housings, making it ideal for big box Amiga systems and custom builds.
Thanks to its modular controller bay, different daughter boards can be added to adapt the same base keyboard to various Amiga models — and/or to open the door for DIY modules developed by the enthusiast community.

Amiga 1200
– The keyboard is a direct plug-and-play replacement using the included ribbon cable. -
Amiga 500
– The keyboard is a plug-and-play replacement unit but also requires the optional AMIGA 500 KEYBOARD CONTROLLER daughter-board.
The controller mounts on the top right of the keyboard and connects via a custom U-shaped ribbon cable beneath the keyboard.
The A500 Keyboard Controller connects to the A500 motherboard through a wire— very much like the original design. - Amiga 3000 / Amiga 4000
– The keyboard is a plug-and-play replacement unit. However additional keyboard controller daughter-boards are still in the making.
Unless for tinkerers, you can’t use our keyboard for your big box Amiga just yet. Soon to come.
